Classroom/School Readiness Intensive Program
A school/classroom-based skills assessment will be conducted to determine which skills should be targeted for the success of the client in the school setting. The client will then be trained on proposed goals within a classroom–like, group environment to practice skills and enhance the probability of success.
After proposed school–based skills have been mastered in the classroom–like setting, the Behavior Analyst and treatment team will assist in a transition from the clinical, controlled setting to the school setting. This may look like collaboration and consultation with school personnel and professionals, shadowing the student in the school setting, training school personnel to better support maintained skills, and more.
Classroom readiness and school consultation includes advocacy for the student and the family in individualized education plan (IEP) meetings to further support the needs of the student.
